One of USA’s major songwriters, John Prine, is returning to Tønder Festival. Seven other names have been added to the roster, The Savage Rose, Kate Rusby and Bjørn Eidsvåg among them.
Three years ago, Tønder Festival’s Tent 1 staged a historic event. The American songwriter John Prine wound up that year’s festival with style. Now, our audience can look forward to a repeat visit: John Prine will be topping the bill at Tønder Festival 2019. And he has a new album to present.
More top names reappear
Hello again to Scottish band Skipinnish. This super-group of Scots traditional music will be back in 2019. More famous musicians who have previously graced Tønder Festival’s stages are back on the poster in 2019: Kate Rusby, one of the finest singers in British folk, and Julie Fowlis, the esteemed interpreter of the Scots Gaelic tradition.
