Update 3.2. 2020: Unfortunately Arlo Guthrie has cancelled his visit to Tønder. Seven names has been added til the festival – among them Irish Cara Dillon, Danish Claus Hempler and Canadian Del Barber.

3.1.2020: Seven musicians and groups have been added to the Tønder Festival roster. From Northern Ireland we have the award-winning singer Cara Dillon, one of the major talents in Irish folk music. And we see the return of the Canadian songwriter Del Barber and the US/Canadian duo Birds of Chicago.

Dynamic Old-time and Solid Blues
From Nashville, the four-piece Hogslop String Band bring a fiery brand of old-time and country music. Hans Theessink & Knud Møller, a duo with a wide fan base in Denmark, play stylish, authentic blues and roots music garnished with guitar wizardry.

Danish Vocal Stars
Claus Hempler released an album in Danish last year, Kuffert fuld af mursten (Bricks in the Baggage) and appeared at Tønder Festival in 2019. He’ll be back in 2020. Singer Kira Skov is on the list, too, with a programme of Billie Holiday songs.
