The 2019 Tønder Festival programme is complete, with the last 14 names added. Among them are Tyler Childers, Ruston Kelly, Daniel Norgren, Ian Noe, Dervish and Calum Stewart.
It’s a colourful, international array of musicians Tønder Festival 2019 has on offer. Tønder Festival, as always, presents the best of the international folk roots scene. Now the programme is fully booked and the Tønder Festival audiences can count on a wealth of folk, country, blues, cajun, old time, world music and much more.
Americana
A whole bunch of new US musicians are coming. From Nashville, it’s two
of the most promising songwriters, Ruston Kelly and Tyler Childers. Also
from USA: Birds of Chicago, Luke Winslow-King and Ian Noe.
From the British Isles
Irish Dervish and The Unwanted – both fronted by singer Cathy Jordan –
are on their way. From Scotland we’ll see Ìmar and Calum Stewart, and
the prizewinning British songwriter Blair Dunlop is a guest at Tønder
Festival for the first time.
Swedish and Danish
Swedish Daniel Norgren is coming back, as are two very popular Danish
names, Folkeklubben and Niels Hausgaard. Then there is that profusion of
talent on stage at Folk Spot 2019, presenting eight Scandinavian groups
and soloists
