Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors (USA)

A lot has happened in Drew Holcomb's career since he started as a soloist in his native city, Memphis, up till today, when he is celebrated as an americana musician. His popularity grew from the release of his debut album Washed in Blue from 2005. Several songs from the album were played on television. The following year he married the singer-songwriter Ellie Holcomb (neé Bannister), and she joined Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors. They moved to music mecca Nashville, Ellie Holcomb's home town. Drew and Ellie toured diligently, opening for big names like Susan Tedeschi, Ryan Adams, Los Lobos and The Avett Brothers. Musically, Drew Holcomb borders both country and folk. His songs deal with existential topics, family life and love among them. Several Drew Holcomb concerts have been recorded live, including from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. In 2023, the album Strangers no more appeared, and in February Drew Holcomb was a guest on the popular talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. In the spring of 2024, he and the band tour USA. Their only Danish festival in 2024.
