About Tønder Festival

A very special festival experience

At Tønder Festival, "handmade music" is at the center of folk, roots rock, country, blues, cajun, world and more.

The festival offers top-class international names – both the upcoming names that are on the rise, the style-creating songwriter legends and the authentic folk music.

Tønder Festival has a unique music profile, and the audience often experience international artists who give their only concerts in Tønder and do not play at other Danish festivals that summer.

The festival is known for being a "first mover" and dusting off new exciting names and presenting them as the first in the country.

Tønder Festival is not least known for its very special atmosphere, where musicians and audience are close to each other, and where large concerts go hand in hand with spontaneous jam sessions.

The atmosphere at the festival site is cozy and intimate and, in addition to the music, offers art, events, artist talks, food stalls, restaurants, bars and much more.

In connection with the festival, with the project 4+ there are plenty of experience opportunities and events with a focus on nature, history, culture, food, business and socializing in the days leading up to the festival.
