Foy Vance (UK)

Foy Vance, from Northern Ireland, is a world capacity, a songwriter of international standing. He is noted for his work with Ed Sheeran and Elton John. Foy Vance performed at Tønder Festival in 2017, and our audiences can again be treated to the music of this versatile songwriting talent. Foy Vance has his inspiration from many sources, largely American roots music. His debut album Hope appeared in 2007 and set off his career and touring activities. On the follow-up album Joy of Nothing (2013), Bonnie Raitt and Ed Sheeran appear. Working with Ed Sheeran continued, and Foy Vance has been invited along as support on several Ed Sheeran tours. Foy Vance released his next album The Wild Swan (2016) on Sheeran's record label Gingerbread Man Records with Elton John as co-producer. He toured with Elton John that same year. The appeal of American roots music led Foy Vance to Alabama and Memphis, where he recorded two albums of americana-inspired songs in 2019. His CV as a songwriter includes – besides work with Ed Sheeran – Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert. Foy Vance’s latest album is Signs of Life (2023). His only Danish festival in 2024.
