Hush (DK)

In 2024 it's 20 years since Hush released their breakthrough album A Lifetime. Hush is marking the occasion with an anniversary tour. When they get to Tønder Festival, where they last performed in 2017, they bring a special show with surprises. The main figures in Hush are singer Dorthe Gerlach and guitarist Michael Hartmann, who started working together in the late 90s. The music developed from rock towards the mix of pop, country and folk that Hush is known for, and led to A Lifetime in 2004, which gave them their breakthrough. Since then, Hush have made four more albums, including a live recording with Denmark's Radio's Light Orchestra, in 2012. Hush have sold over 100,000 albums, been nominated for five Danish Music Awards, and won the European Border Breaker Award. Live, Hush have toured all over Denmark, Europe and Canada. In 2015, Dorthe Gerlach released her solo album Natlys (Nightlight) and has worked with other musicians, including jazz bass player Chris Minh Doky.
