The nature and culture of the Wadden Sea region is the setting for the KUNSTEN AT GLÆDES I KOR (Joy of Singing Together) project, inviting audiences to join in singing Danish hymns and songs. KUNSTEN AT GLÆDES I KOR thus combines a concert and a singalong in a close, musical meeting with the audience. A new kind of musical community is formed, with the atmospheric music and the relevant and entertaining stories as the adhesive. It has become a regular feature of the final day of Tønder Festival that KUNSTEN AT GLÆDES I KOR present the morning songs and music. This year, however, to mark Tønder Festival's 50th anniversary, the repertoiret will include songs that have special significance for the festival's own history, still favouring songs from the Wadden Sea.
