4+ events

There will be plenty of opportunities to explore some of Tønder’s unique attractions and gain insight into the region’s fascinating history in the days leading up to this year’s Tønder Festival.

This year’s 4+ events consist of a series of diverse activities, each offering a glimpse into the areas wide-ranging cultural, natural, historical, and business-related experiences - as well as the strong sense of local community that characterizes the area.

The 4+ events will take place on August 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2025. Visitors will have the chance to try local delicacies, including a traditional Sønderjysk coffee table, or take part in a guided tour at Norlyk Distillery, which offers a selection of refreshing drinks and signature cocktails.

There will also be various themed city walks, where you, for example, can follow in the footsteps of the world-famous furniture designer Hans J. Wegner or join a historic pub tour through Tønder. On the pub tour, guests will be served solæg (traditional pickled eggs) and cold draft beer while learning about the 79 pubs that existed in the town 150 years ago.

All tours are led by professional guides and will emphasize storytelling, presence and togetherness.
