Every year, the Tønder Festival is brought to life with the help of over 3,000 volunteers who work together before, during, and after the event. As a volunteer at the Tønder Festival, you’ll become part of a community where engagement, enthusiasm, hard work, and responsibility are core values. You’ll likely forge new friendships and take home unique festival experiences. Additionally, you’ll receive:

A volunteer wristband granting access to this year’s Tønder Festival.
Access to the Staff Bar and Canteen, where you can purchase food and drinks at discounted prices.
Free camping in the Tønder Festival’s designated camping area (electricity available for an additional fee).
Invitations to two annual social events for volunteers: the Volunteer Party, held the day after the festival’s closing concert, and the Midway Party, held every spring.

As a volunteer at Tønder Festival, you are expected to contribute a minimum of 18 hours within your team's designated opening hours. Hours worked before and after the festival count for half the time, whereas hours worked during the festival count in full. This means that if all your hours fall outside the festival dates, you will need to work a minimum of 36 hours, whereas during the festival itself, the minimum requirement is 18 hours.
