Audience and artists sing together
As a warm and unifying close to the music in Tent 1, audience and artists come together for the grand closing sing-along.
Immediately after the final concert of the year in the tent, we all sing the timeless classic "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" – a tradition that unites the festival's many voices into one.
It is the moment when the stage and the crowd become one, and the week's experiences come together in one great, shared moment.
Afterwards, the party continues out on the festival grounds, where the music plays on for the rest of the evening.
Will The Circle Be Unbroken
I was standing by the window
On a cold and cloudy day
When I saw the hearse come rolling
To carry my mother away
Will the circle be unbroken
Bye and bye Lord bye and bye
There’s a better home a waiting
In the sky Lord in the sky
I said to the undertaker
Undertaker please drive slow
For that body you are carrying
Lord I hate to see her go
Well I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in that grave
I went back home Lord that home was lonesome
Since my mother, she was gone
All my brothers and sisters crying
What a home so sad and alone
