Tønder Festival 2026 is shaping up to be a record year in terms of ticket sales. As things stand, the festival expects to be able to announce a complete sell-out well before the gates officially open on 26 August.
This year's programme wins high praise
This year's programme has also received an enthusiastic reception in the media. Politiken awarded five out of six hearts and singled out Emmylou Harris in particular as "worth the trip on her own".
Ekstra Bladet also highlights the festival's international headliners, pointing to the rare combination of exclusivity and high quality in this year's programme, with Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois as special drawcards. For Emmylou Harris, who visits Tønder Festival on Friday 28 August, the concert is also part of her European farewell tour. In Denmark, the American legend can only be experienced at Tønder Festival in 2026.
