Here you will find frequently asked questions about volunteering at the Tønder Festival. If we've missed anything, please feel free to contact us!

Questions and answers

You become a volunteer at the Tønder Festival by signing up in our volunteer system, Crewnet, where you fill out your profile and choose the areas you would like to volunteer in. You will then be contacted by a leader who will offer you a place on their team. Remember to keep your profile updated.

As a volunteer, you must work a minimum of 18 hours during your function's opening hours. If your volunteer hours fall within the setup and teardown period before/after the festival, you are required to work 36 hours.

Special rules apply to young volunteers under 18:

  • 13-14-year-olds must work 10-12 hours

  • 15-17-year-olds must work 12-18 hours

As a volunteer, you'll receive a volunteer wristband granting access to the entire festival. Additionally, you'll get:

  • Discount on this year's official festival t-shirt.

  • Access to the Staff Canteen and Bar with food and drinks at specially reduced prices.

  • Free accommodation at Tønder Festival Camping. (Electricity available for an additional fee)

  • Sunday evening's volunteer party with complimentary high-quality food, music, and entertainment, along with drinks at volunteer prices. It's a unique and outstanding experience that money can't buy.

Outstanding Commitment Over 50 Years

Thursday, October 10, 2024, marked a special day for Tønder Festival, as dedicated volunteers were honored for their outstanding commitment over 50 years.

Early Bird 2025

Tønder Festival 2024 was a great success despite the severe weather, which challenged guests, artists, and volunteers alike. However, the atmosphere remained high, and it became an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.
