This charming woodland area, adjacent to the Open Air section, spans approximately 400 square meters and promises to offer festival guests a unique and atmospheric experience.
Nyholm Forest has been made possible through a collaboration with Robert Okholm, the owner of the forest, who has generously provided the space for Tønder Festival. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Robert Okholm for his dedication and for helping us create a new, scenic dimension to the festival's atmosphere.
Experience Nyholm Forest: A Natural Retreat
Nyholm Forest is designed as a secluded haven on the festival grounds, where guests can retreat from the crowds and enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful forest surroundings. Here, visitors can indulge in local food and drink specialties selected to reflect the region's rich culinary traditions. Whether savoring a refreshing drink or a delicious local dish, Nyholm Forest offers a peaceful sanctuary where one can relax and soak in the unique ambiance of Tønder Festival.
Kristina L. Schjøtt, Director of Tønder Festival, states:
"With the new forest area, we're creating an oasis in the heart of the festival, surrounded by trees and a wonderfully cozy atmosphere. It will be a space filled with joy and community, and we're very excited to introduce it this year. In addition to a bar and local culinary specialties, professional lighting will contribute to creating a fantastic atmosphere in the forest. The area also provides a bit more space for our guests and supports our efforts to continue developing the festival with respect for our 50-year history. This year marks the beginning of Nyholm Forest."
We look forward to welcoming our guests to this new area, where music, art, and nature come together in a celebration of local culture and serene surroundings.
