Top British Band Retires at Tønder Festival
The kings of British folk rock, Oysterband, bid their farewells as a live band with an extensive tour, culminating in a final concert at Tønder Festival 2025.
Tønder Festival's 50th anniversary will be celebrated in grand style in 2024. There are already great things in store, one of them being American songwriter Rodney Crowell. The 73 year-old musician with roots in US music traditions writes songs that his fellow musicians queue up to record. Don't miss this songwriter of exceptional calibre.
New from Canada
Jake Vaadeland is a young songwriter, guitarist and banjo player from Canada who is on the rapid ascent. From the same neck of the woods come The Hello Darlins, a band comprising some of Canada's finest studio musicians.
Popular Danes
There will be a stir around Jacob Dinesen's return to his home patch. He is packing his latest, 6th album The Waiting Game. Another popular Danish band are on the bill: Hush, marking 20 years since the release of their breakthrough album A Lifetime. They promise a very special concert at Tønder Festival.
Round the World
From Scotland we have Elephant Sessions, from Australia a revisit from Dan Sultan, this time with a band. From the Basque country we welcome Xabi Aburruzaga, a master of the Basque button accordion, the trikitixa.
