Tønder Festival runs on the last whole weekend of August.
The international music programme includes traditional Irish and Scottish music, folk rock, American old-time music, bluegrass, cajun, blues, gospel, songwriters and much more.
Tønder Festival is four days of music, an incredible atmosphere, good times and good company from near and far.
Tønder Festival is staged with the help of around 2500 volunteers, working before, during and after the Festival.
As a volunteer at Tønder Festival you will be expected to work a minimum of 18 hours during your team’s opening hours.
To join the volunteer staff at Tønder Festival, you are required to fill in the form.
If you were a volunteer last year you don’t have to apply again. Contact your team coordinator.
You will hear directly from a team coordinator if your help is needed.
The volunteer waiting list is reset on the 1st of september every year, so if you haven’t heard anything before then, please apply again.
Age: The minimum age is 15 years, but we expect 15-17 year olds to have the approval of an adult who is responsible for them and their duties at the Festival. Usually, children under 15 on the site are accompanied by their parents or grandparents on their watch.
