Tønder Festival 2019 is over and the Festival management and contented audiences can look back on four sunny days of world-class music.

The 45th Festival in Tønder exceeded all expectations. The weather was impeccable and for four days, the festival site buzzed with life as audiences moved among musical delights: over 120 concerts, informal sessions and many other musical experiences. Tønder Festival 2019 lived up to its reputation as the champion of the music.

This year, 7983 all-days and 2329 single-day wristbands were sold, an increase of over 400 on last year. Camping wristbands reached sales of 3731.

“We are extremely happy that it all went so smoothly. The weather was with us and the atmosphere on the festival site was first-class. The music has given us some truly brilliant moments. Once again, we see that the special Tønder atmosphere and the close contact between musicians and audience creates outstanding concert experiences. Many thanks to our audiences, musicians and crew – and to all our volunteers, who have laboured in the heat for our festival,” says Maria Theessink, artistic director at Tønder Festival.
